Draupadī’s Grief at Seeing the Heroes in Disguise (द्रौपदी-विषादः / वेष-परिभव-वर्णनम्)
यन्मां दासीप्रवादेन प्रातिकामी तदानयत् | सभापरिषदो मध्ये तन््मां दहति भारत
yan māṃ dāsī-pravādena prātikāmī tadānayat | sabhā-pariṣado madhye tan māṃ dahati bhārata ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “โอ ภารตะ ความอัปยศนั้นยังเผาไหม้ในใจข้าอยู่จนบัดนี้: เมื่อปราติกามีอ้างว่าเรียกนางว่า ‘ทาสี’ แล้วลากนางเข้ามากลางที่ประชุมในราชสภา ทุศศาสนะผู้รับใช้ทุรโยธนะเรียกนางว่า ‘ทาสี’ และฉุดลากนางเข้าไปในสภาคุรุท่ามกลางมหาชน—ไฟแห่งความอัปยศนั้นยังไม่ดับในดวงใจ”
