Draupadī’s Lament and Indictment of Misfortune
सर्वश्वेतेव माहेयी वने जाता त्रिहायणी । उपातिष्ठत पाज्चाली वासितेव नरर्षभम्,कुरुनन्दन! द्रौपदीके दिव्य रूपसे महात्मा भीमकी वह पाकशाला शोभा-समृद्धिको प्राप्त होकर तेजसे प्रकाशित हो उठी। पवित्र मुसकानवाली द्रौपदी पाक-शालामें पहुँचकर क्रमश: [बक, साँड़ और गजराजके पास जानेवाली] जलनमें उत्पन्न हुई बकी, तीन सालकी पार्थिव गौ तथा हथिनीके समान श्रेष्ठ पुरुष भीमसेनके समीप गयीं
sarvaśvetā iva māheyī vane jātā trihāyaṇī | upātiṣṭhata pāñcālī vāsitā iva nararṣabham, kurunandana |
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “โอ ผู้เป็นความชื่นใจแห่งกุรุ ปาญจาลีเข้าไปใกล้ภีมเสนผู้เป็นพฤษภในหมู่มนุษย์ ดุจโคเพศเมียสีขาวล้วนวัยสามปีที่เกิดในพงไพร ราวกับถูกประพรมด้วยสุคนธ์และประดับตกแต่งแล้ว”
