janamejaya uvāca | evaṁ te matsyanagare pracchannāḥ kurunandanāḥ | ata ūrdhvaṁ mahāvīryāḥ kim akurvata vai dvija ||
ชนเมชัยตรัสถามว่า “ข้าแต่พราหมณ์ เมื่อบุตรแห่งปาณฑุ ผู้เป็นความชื่นใจแห่งวงศ์กุรุ ได้พำนักอย่างปกปิดในนครมัตสยะดังนี้แล้ว ต่อจากนั้นวีรบุรุษผู้ทรงเดชเหล่านั้นได้กระทำสิ่งใดเล่า?”
जनमेजय उवाच
