वैशम्पायन उवाच गते तु पाण्डवे तात काम्यकात्‌ सत्यविक्रमे । बभूवु: पाण्डवेयास्ते दु:ः:खशोकपरायणा:,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--तात! सत्यपराक्रमी पाण्डुकुमार अर्जुनके काम्यकवनसे चले जानेपर सभी पाण्डव उनके लिये दुःख और शोकमें मग्न रहने लगे

vaiśampāyana uvāca | gate tu pāṇḍave tāta kāmyakāt satyavikrame | babhūvuḥ pāṇḍaveyās te duḥkhaśokaparāyaṇāḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ดูลูกรัก ครั้นอรชุนผู้เป็นปาณฑพ ผู้มีวีรภาพสัตย์มั่นคง ออกจากป่ากามยกะแล้ว บุตรทั้งหลายของปาณฑุเหล่านั้นก็จมอยู่ในความทุกข์และโศกเพราะเขา”
