तथेति रामस्तद् वारि प्रतिगृह्माभिसंस्कृतम् । चकार नेत्रयो: शौचं लक्ष्मणश्ष महामना:,“बहुत अच्छा” कहकर श्रीरामचन्द्रजीने वह अभिमन्त्रित जल ले लिया। फिर उन्होंने तथा महामना लक्ष्मणने भी उससे अपने दोनों नेत्र धोये
tatheti rāmas tad vāri pratigṛhya abhi-saṁskṛtam | cakāra netrayoḥ śaucaṁ lakṣmaṇaś ca mahāmanāḥ ||
พระรามตรัสว่า “เป็นเช่นนั้นเถิด” แล้วทรงรับน้ำนั้นซึ่งผ่านพิธีและมนตรา จากนั้นทรงชำระดวงตาทั้งสองด้วยน้ำดังกล่าว; และพระลักษมณ์ผู้มีจิตใจยิ่งใหญ่ก็ล้างดวงตาทั้งสองด้วยน้ำนั้นเช่นกัน
