मुद्गलोपाख्यानम् — व्रीहिद्रोणदानं, दुर्वाससः परीक्षा, स्वर्गगुणप्रश्नः

हाथमें गदा लिये बड़े वेगसे युद्धके लिये आते हुए चित्रसेनकी उस गदाके, जो सब-की- सब लोहेकी बनी हुई थी, अर्जुनने अपने बाणोंद्वारा सात टुकड़े कर दिये
hastamēṁ gadā liye baṛe vēgase yuddha ke liye ātē huē citrasēna kī us gadā ke, yō sab-kī-sab lōhē kī banī huī thī, arjun nē apnē bāṇōṁ dvārā sāt ṭukṛē kara diyē.
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—เมื่อจิตรเสนะพุ่งเข้ามาด้วยความเร็วแรงเพื่อทำศึก ถือคทาที่ทำด้วยเหล็กล้วน อรชุนก็ใช้ศรของตนยิงสกัดจนคทานั้นแตกออกเป็นเจ็ดท่อน
