इति श्रीमहाभारते वनपर्वणि मार्कण्डेयसमास्यापर्वणि आड्िरसे कुमारोत्पत्तौ अष्टाविंशत्यधिकद्धिशततमो<ध्याय:

ดังนี้ ในศรีมหาภารตะ ตอนวนปัรวะ ในภาคสรุปคำบอกเล่าของมารกัณฑेय ในปริยายอาฑิรสะว่าด้วยกำเนิดกุมาร (สกันทะ) บทที่สองร้อยยี่สิบแปดจึงสิ้นสุดลง
मार्कण्डेय उवाच
