Educational Q&A

Dedicated service (śuśrūṣā)—performed with humility and constancy—becomes a direct means to siddhi (inner accomplishment) and mahattva (true greatness). The verse links ethical conduct in everyday duties with elevated spiritual results, even extending to extraordinary insight (memory of past births) and a favorable afterlife (svarga).

In the Vyādha’s instruction, he assures the listener that continuing the kind of devoted service just discussed will bear powerful fruits: personal spiritual success, recognized greatness, the rare capacity of past-life recollection, and ultimately ascent to heaven.
