Skanda–Mātṛgaṇa-janma: Kumārakāḥ, Kanyāgaṇāḥ, and the Vīrāṣṭaka (स्कन्द-मातृगण-सम्भवः)
ब्राह्मण उवाच कृतप्रज्ञोडसि मेधावी बुद्धिर्हि विपुला तव । नाहं भवन्तं शोचामि ज्ञानतृप्तोडसि धर्मवित्,ब्राह्मण बोला--धर्मव्याध! आप ज्ञानी और बुद्धिमान हैं। आपकी बुद्धि विशाल है। आप धर्मके तत्त्वको जानते हैं और ज्ञानानन्दसे तृप्त रहते हैं। अत: मैं आपके लिये शोक नहीं करता
brāhmaṇa uvāca | kṛtaprajño 'si medhāvī buddhir hi vipulā tava | nāhaṃ bhavantaṃ śocāmi jñānatṛpto 'si dharmavit ||
พราหมณ์กล่าวว่า “ท่านมีปัญญามั่นคงและเฉียบแหลม ปัญญาของท่านกว้างใหญ่ ท่านรู้หลักแห่งธรรมะและอิ่มเอมด้วยญาณ ดังนั้นข้าพเจ้าจึงไม่โศกให้ท่าน”
