अजसमेव दु:खार्तो5दु:ःखित: सुखसंज्ञित: । ततो<निवृत्तबन्धत्वात्‌ कर्मणामुदयादपि

ajasam eva duḥkhārto 'duḥkhitaḥ sukhasaṃjñitaḥ | tato 'nivṛttabandhatvāt karmaṇām udayād api ||

บุคคลแม้แท้จริงจะระทมทุกข์ ก็ยังถูกนับ—และแม้ตนเองก็หลงนับ—ว่า “ไม่ทุกข์” และ “เป็นสุข” เพราะยังมิได้ถอนตนจากความยึดติด; แม้ผลแห่งกรรมจะปรากฏขึ้นแล้วก็ตาม ตราบใดที่ความยึดติดยังคงอยู่ พันธนาการก็ยังคงอยู่
