Adhyāya 208: Aṅgirasī-kanyāḥ

शिष्टाचारपरायण मनुष्य अपनी उत्तम बुद्धिको भी संयममें रखते हैं, गुरुके सिद्धान्तके अनुसार चलते हैं और मर्यादामें स्थित होकर धर्म और अर्थपर दृष्टि रखते हैं ।। नास्तिकान्‌ भिजन्नमर्यादान्‌ क्रूरान्‌ पापमतौ स्थितान्‌ | त्यज तान्‌ ज्ञानमश्रित्य धार्मिकानुपसेव्य च,इसलिये तुम नास्तिक, धर्मकी मर्यादा भंग करनेवाले, क्रूर तथा पापपूर्ण विचार रखनेवाले पुरुषोंका साथ छोड़ दो और ज्ञानका आश्रय लेकर धर्मात्मा पुरुषोंकी सेवामें रहो

nāstikān bhinna-maryādān krūrān pāpa-matau sthitān | tyaja tān jñānam āśritya dhārmikān upasevya ca ||

ผู้ยึดมั่นในจารีตอันงามย่อมสำรวมแม้ปัญญาอันแหลมคมของตน เดินตามหลักของครูบาอาจารย์ และตั้งอยู่ในขอบเขตอันสมควร จึงแลเห็นทั้งธรรมและประโยชน์ทางโลกได้ชัด ดังนั้นจงละทิ้งผู้ไร้ศรัทธา ผู้ทำลายขอบเขตแห่งความประพฤติ ผู้โหดร้าย และผู้มีใจฝักใฝ่บาป แล้วอาศัยปัญญาแท้ อยู่ในสหายและการรับใช้ของผู้ทรงธรรม
