अट्टशूला जनपदा: शिवशूलाश्षतुष्पथा: । केशशूला: स्त्रियो राजन्‌ भविष्यन्ति युगक्षये

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca | aṭṭaśūlā janapadāḥ śivaśūlāś catuṣpathāḥ | keśaśūlāḥ striyo rājan bhaviṣyanti yugakṣaye naravyāghra |

Translation

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— “โอ้พระราชา! ครั้นถึงปลายยุค แว่นแคว้นทั้งหลายจะประหนึ่งถูกหลักแหลม (อัฏฏศูล) แทงทะลุ; สี่แยกจะปรากฏเครื่องหมายอัปมงคลดุจ ‘ศิวศูล’; และสตรีทั้งหลายก็จะถูกความทุกข์ที่เรียกว่า ‘เกศศูล’ รบกวน. นี่แลคือสัญญาณอันโศกสลดแห่งยุคเสื่อม.”
