सततं धावमानश्ष्‌ चिन्तयानो विशाम्पते । (भ्रमंस्तत्र महीपाल यदा वर्षगणान्‌ बहून्‌ ।) आसादयामि नैवान्तं तस्य राजन्‌ महात्मन:

Transliteration

satatam dhāvamānaś cintayāno viśāmpate | bhramaṁs tatra mahīpāla yadā varṣagaṇān bahūn | āsādayāmi naivāntaṁ tasya rājan mahātmanaḥ |

Translation

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— “ข้าแต่ผู้เป็นใหญ่เหนือหมู่ชน ข้าพเจ้าวิ่งไปมาไม่หยุดยั้ง และถูกความกังวลเผาผลาญอยู่เสมอ ข้าแต่มหีบาล แม้จะเร่ร่อนอยู่ที่นั่นนานนับปี ข้าแต่พระราชา ข้าพเจ้าก็มิอาจพบที่สุดแห่งมหาตมะผู้นั้นได้ ครั้นแล้ว ข้าแต่พระราชา ข้าพเจ้าจึงขอพึ่งพิง—โดยชอบตามพิธี—แด่เทวะผู้ประทานพร ผู้ควรแก่การสักการะยิ่ง ด้วยใจ วาจา และการกระทำ”
