Pradyumna–Śālva Missile-Exchange at Saubha (Āraṇyaka Parva, Adhyāya 18)

सौतिर्वाच जानार्दने न मे मोहो नापि मां भयमाविशत्‌ | अतिभारं तु ते मन्ये शाल्वं केशवनन्दन,सूतपुत्रने कहा--जनार्दनकुमार! न मुझे मोह हुआ है और न मेरे मनमें भय ही समाया है। केशवनन्दन! मुझे ऐसा मालूम होता है कि यह राजा शाल्व आपके लिये अत्यन्त भार- सा हो रहा है

sautir uvāca: jānārdane na me moho nāpi māṁ bhayam āviśat | atibhāraṁ tu te manye śālvaṁ keśavanandana |

สารถีบุตรกล่าวว่า “โอ บุตรแห่งชนารทนะ ข้ามิได้ถูกความหลงครอบงำ และความกลัวก็มิได้แทรกซึมเข้ามา แต่โอ บุตรแห่งเกศวะ ข้าเห็นว่าศาลวะผู้นี้กลับเป็นภาระหนักยิ่งแก่ท่าน”
