Bhīma–Hanūmān Dialogue on Yugas (युगवर्णनम्)
uttiṣṭha dehi me mārgaṃ paśya me cādya pauruṣam | macchāsanam akurvāṇaṃ tvāṃ vā neṣye yamakṣayam ||
The verse foregrounds kṣatriya-style assertiveness: when obstructed, Bhīma demands rightful passage and frames compliance as a matter of acknowledging strength and authority. Ethically, it illustrates how power can be asserted through command and threat, raising questions about restraint and proportionality in dharma-driven action.
Bhīma confronts an obstructing party and orders them to stand aside and give way. He challenges them to witness his prowess and warns that refusal to obey will result in their death—being sent to Yama’s realm.
