तत्र सर्वत्र वक्तव्यं मन्यन्ते शास्त्रकोविदा: । विशेषतश्च वक्तव्यं ्यूते पश्यन्ति तद्विद:
tatra sarvatra vaktavyaṃ manyante śāstrakovidāḥ | viśeṣataś ca vaktavyaṃ dyūte paśyanti tadvidaḥ ||
ณที่นั้น บัณฑิตผู้ชำนาญในศาสตราเห็นพ้องกันว่า ในทุกกาลทุกสถานควรกล่าวตักเตือนโทษเหล่านี้ให้ชัดแจ้ง; และผู้รู้เนื้อแท้ยิ่งเห็นว่า ต้องประณามการเล่นสกาโดยเฉพาะ. ความหลงใหลในสตรี การเล่นสกา ความคลั่งไคล้การล่าสัตว์ และการดื่มสุรา—ความเพลิดเพลินทั้งสี่นี้กล่าวกันว่า นำทุกข์ที่เกิดจากตัณหามาให้; ด้วยเหตุนี้มนุษย์จึงเสื่อมจากทรัพย์และราชอำนาจ. ผู้แตกฉานในศาสตราถือว่าเป็นสิ่งน่าติเตียนทุกประการ; แต่ผู้รู้โทษแห่งสกาย่อมติเตียนการเล่นสกาอย่างหนักเป็นพิเศษ.
