The Birth and Career Account of Māndhātṛ
तत: शक्रो महातेजास्तं दिदृक्षुरुपागमत् । ततो देवा महेन्द्र तमपृच्छन् धास्यततीति किम्,तत्पश्चात् महातेजस्वी इन्द्र उस बालकको देखनेके लिये वहाँ आये। उस समय देवताओंने महेन्द्रसे पूछा--यह बालक क्या पीयेगा?
tataḥ śakro mahātejās taṃ didṛkṣur upāgamat | tato devā mahendraṃ tam apṛcchan dhāsyatātīti kim |
ครั้นแล้วศักระ (อินทร์) ผู้ทรงเดชและรุ่งเรือง เสด็จมาที่นั่นด้วยปรารถนาจะทอดพระเนตรทารกนั้น ต่อมาเหล่าเทพจึงทูลถามมหินทรา—“ทารกนี้จักดื่มสิ่งใด?”
