Cyavana’s Tapas, Sukanyā’s Curiosity, and Śaryāti’s Appeasement (च्यवन-सुकन्या-उपाख्यान आरम्भ)
प्रतिगृह्य च तां कन््यां भगवान् प्रससाद ह । प्राप्पप्रसादो राजा वै ससैन्य: पुरमाव्रजत्,उस राजकन्याको पाकर भगवान् च्यवन मुनि प्रसन्न हो गये। तत्पश्चात् उनका कृपाप्रसाद प्राप्त करके राजा शर्याति सेनासहित सकुशल अपनी राजधानीको लौट आये
pratigṛhya ca tāṃ kanyāṃ bhagavān prasasāda ha | prāptaprasādo rājā vai sasainyaḥ puram āvrajat ||
ครั้นทรงรับธิดานั้นแล้ว พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจยวนก็ทรงพอพระทัย พระราชาเมื่อได้พระกรุณาแล้ว จึงเสด็จกลับนครพร้อมกองทัพ
लोगमश उवाच
Respect for ascetics and prompt rectification of wrongdoing lead to restoration of harmony; a ruler prospers when he seeks and receives the goodwill (prasāda) of the righteous through proper conduct.
After the maiden is formally accepted, the sage becomes pleased. With the sage’s favor secured, the king departs without further obstacle and returns safely to his capital along with his forces.
