Surabhi–Indra Dialogue as a Governance Exemplar
ततोऊहं त्वामनुप्राप्त: कौरवाणामवेक्षया । सदा हभ्यधिकः: स्नेहः प्रीतिश्न त्वयि मे प्रभो,यह सुनकर मैं कौरवोंकी दशा देखनेके लिये तुम्हारे पास आया हूँ। राजन! तुम्हारे ऊपर सदासे ही मेरा स्नेह और प्रेम अधिक रहा है
tato 'haṃ tvām anuprāptaḥ kauravāṇām avekṣayā | sadā hy adhikaḥ snehaḥ prītiś ca tvayi me prabho ||
ครั้นได้ยินดังนั้น ข้าพเจ้าจึงมาหาพระองค์เพื่อพิจารณาสภาพของเหล่ากุรุวงศ์. ข้าแต่ประภู ความเอ็นดูและความภักดีที่ข้าพเจ้ามีต่อพระองค์นั้น มีมาแต่เดิมและยิ่งกว่าต่อผู้ใด
