पुत्रलोकात् पतिलोकं वृण्वाना सत्यवादिनी । प्रियान् पुत्रान् परित्यज्य पाण्डवाननुरुध्यते,'पुत्रलोकसे पतिलोकको श्रेष्ठ समझकर उसका वरण करनेवाली सत्यवादिनी द्रौपदी अपने प्यारे पुत्रोंको भी त्यागकर पाण्डवोंका अनुसरण करती है
putralokāt patilokaṁ vṛṇvānā satyavādinī | priyān putrān parityajya pāṇḍavān anurudhyate ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ดรौปทีผู้สัตย์จริง เห็นว่าโลกของสามีสูงกว่าโลกของบุตร จึงเลือกโลกนั้น; แม้บุตรอันเป็นที่รักก็ละไว้ แล้วแน่วแน่ติดตามเหล่าปาณฑพ”
