Educational Q&A

The verse highlights an ethical ideal of leadership: true greatness is marked by being 'sarvabhūta-hite rata'—actively devoted to the welfare of all beings. Social honor (flower-showering) is presented as a response to virtue and beneficence rather than mere power.

During Kṛṣṇa’s journey in the Udyoga Parva context, women gather along the road to greet him and shower him with fragrant forest flowers, expressing public devotion and respect for his benevolent stature.
