तिष्ठ तात सतां वाक्ये सुहृदामर्थवादिनाम् । वृद्ध शान्तनवं भीष्म तितिक्षस्व पितामहम्
tiṣṭha tāta satāṁ vākye suhṛdām arthavādinām | vṛddha śāntanavaṁ bhīṣmaṁ titikṣasva pitāmaham ||
ลูกเอ๋ย จงยืนหยัดตามถ้อยคำของสัตบุรุษ และตามคำของมิตรผู้หวังประโยชน์แท้แก่เจ้า ภีษมะโอรสแห่งศานตนุผู้ชรานั้นเป็นปิตามหาของเจ้า จงอดทนรับคำตักเตือนของท่านด้วยความเพียรอดกลั้น
