Dhṛtarāṣṭra–Duryodhana Dialogue on Peace and the Refusal of Compromise
दुर्योधन निवर्तस्व युद्धाद् भरतसत्तम | न हि युद्ध प्रशंसन्ति सर्वावस्थमरिंदम,भरतकुलभूषण शत्रुदमन दुर्योधन! तुम युद्धसे निवृत्त हो जाओ। श्रेष्ठ पुरुष किसी भी दशामें युद्धकी प्रशंसा नहीं करते हैं
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca | duryodhana nivartasva yuddhād bharatasattama | na hi yuddhaṁ praśaṁsanti sarvāvastham arindama ||
ธฤตราษฏระตรัสว่า “ทุรโยธนะ ผู้ประเสริฐแห่งวงศ์ภารตะ จงหันกลับจากสงครามเถิด โอ้ผู้ปราบศัตรู บัณฑิตไม่สรรเสริญสงครามไม่ว่าในกาลใด”
