कुर्वन् रथान् विपुरुषान् विसारथिहयध्वजान् । आरुज न् पुरुषव्याप्रो रथिन: सादिनस्तथा
dhṛtarāṣṭra uvāca |
kurvan rathān vipuruṣān visārathihayadhvajān |
ārujan puruṣavyāpro rathinaḥ sādinastathā, sañjaya |
ธฤตราษฏระตรัสว่า “โอ้สัญชัย ภีมะผู้เป็นพยัคฆ์ในหมู่มนุษย์จะทุ่มกำลังในศึก ทำให้รถศึกทั้งหลายไร้นักรบ—ไร้สารถี ไร้ม้า ไร้ธงชัย—และจะหักทำลายอวัยวะกับกำลังรบของทั้งนักรบรถศึกและทหารม้า ดังสายน้ำคงคาเมื่อเอ่อล้นไหลบ่าผ่านทุ่งน้ำ ย่อมถอนรากทำลายไม้หลากชนิดริมฝั่งฉันใด ภีมะเมื่อเข้าสู่สนามรบก็จักทำลายกองทัพแห่งบุตรของเราให้พินาศฉันนั้น”
