नारायणस्तथैवात्र भूयसो5न्याज्जघान ह । एवमेतौ महावीरयां तौ पश्यत समागतौ,इसी प्रकार नारायणस्वरूप भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने भी खाण्डवदाहके समय दूसरे बहुत-से हिंसक प्राणियोंको यमलोक पहुँचाया था। इस प्रकार ये दोनों महान्‌ पराक्रमी हैं। दुर्योधन! इस समय ये दोनों एक-दूसरेसे मिल गये हैं, इस बातको तुमलोग अच्छी तरह देख और समझ लो

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ที่นี่ด้วย นารายณะคือพระศรีกฤษณะ ได้สังหารสรรพสัตว์อื่น ๆ เป็นอันมากในทำนองเดียวกัน ดังนั้นทั้งสองจึงเป็นมหาวีรบุรุษผู้ทรงเดชานุภาพ โอ้ทุรโยธนะ จงมองให้ชัดและเข้าใจให้ถ่องแท้—บัดนี้ทั้งสองได้มาพบกันและรวมเป็นหนึ่งเดียวแล้ว”
