हंस–साध्यसंवादः, वाक्-निग्रहः, महाकुल-लक्षणम्, शान्ति-उपायः

एवमेव कुले जाता: पावकोपमतेजस: । क्षमावन्तो निराकारा: काष्ठेडग्निरिव शेरते

evam eva kule jātāḥ pāvakopama-tejasaḥ | kṣamāvanto nirākārāḥ kāṣṭhe 'gnir iva śerate ||

ฉันนั้นเอง เหล่าปาณฑพผู้บังเกิดในวงศ์ตระกูลของตน มีเดชดุจไฟ อดกลั้นและไม่โอ้อวด ภายนอกสงบเสงี่ยม ดุจไฟที่ซ่อนอยู่ในเนื้อไม้ รอเวลาอันควรจึงปรากฏ
