उद्योगपर्व — अध्याय 33: धृतराष्ट्र-विदुर संवादः (विदुरनीतिः)
राजा लक्षणसम्पन्नस्त्रैलोक्यस्यापि यो भवेत् | शिष्यस्ते शासिता सोडस्तु धृतराष्ट्र युधिष्ठिर:
rājā lakṣaṇasampannastrailokyasyāpi yo bhavet | śiṣyaste śāsitā soḍastu dhṛtarāṣṭra yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
วิทุระกล่าวว่า: “โอ้ธฤตราษฏระ แม้กษัตริย์ผู้เพียบพร้อมด้วยลักษณะแห่งราชัน และคู่ควรแก่การครองไตรโลก ก็ยังต้องยอมรับวินัยและการกำกับตน. ยุธิษฐิระเป็นศิษย์ของท่าน—เป็นผู้รับคำสั่งสอนและปกครองได้; เพราะฉะนั้นจงละความหลงยึดติด แล้วทรงแผ่นดินตามคำปรึกษาอันชอบเถิด.”
