Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
ये चैवान्ये कुरुमुख्या युवान: पुत्रा: पौत्रा भ्रातरश्वैव ये नः । यं यमेषां मन्यसे येन योग्यं तत् तत् प्रोच्यानामयं सूत वाच्या:
ye caivānye kurumukhyā yuvānaḥ putrāḥ pautrā bhrātaraś caiva ye naḥ | yaṃ yam eṣāṃ manyase yena yogyaṃ tat tat procya nāmayaṃ sūta vācyāḥ ||
ยุธิษฐิระตรัสว่า “และบรรดาหนุ่มผู้เป็นหลักแห่งวงศ์กุรุอื่น ๆ อีก—ผู้เป็นดุจบุตร หลาน และพี่น้องของเรา—ผู้ใดในหมู่เขาที่เจ้าคิดว่าสมควรแก่ถ้อยคำแบบใด ก็จงกล่าวแก่ผู้นั้นตามควรเถิด โอ้ สุตะ จงบอกแก่ทุกคนว่าเหล่าปาณฑพสวัสดีและมีใจรื่นเริง”
