अयं चापि विशुद्धात्मन्‌ पुराणे श्रूयते विभो । मरुत्तेन महाबुद्धे गीत: श्लोको महात्मना

Transliteration

ayaṃ cāpi viśuddhātman purāṇe śrūyate vibho | maruttena mahābuddhe gītaḥ śloko mahātmanā |

Translation

โอผู้มีจิตบริสุทธิ์ โอผู้ทรงเดช—เรื่องนี้ก็ได้ยินสืบมาในคติแห่งปุราณะ: เป็นโศลกที่มหาตมะมรุตตะขับร้องไว้ โอพระรามผู้ทรงปัญญายิ่ง. โศลกนั้นสอนว่า แม้เป็นครู หากพองด้วยทิฐิมานะจนแยกไม่ออกว่าอะไรควรทำไม่ควรทำ แล้วหันไปสู่ทางอันผิด ก็พึงละทิ้งเสีย.
