अर्थसिद्धि तव रणे करिष्यति न संशय: । शस्त्रविद्धिरनाधृष्यो दूरपाती दृढायुध:
bhīṣma uvāca |
arthasiddhiṁ tava raṇe kariṣyati na saṁśayaḥ |
śastraviddhir anādhṛṣyo dūrapātī dṛḍhāyudhaḥ |
haniṣyati camūṁ teṣāṁ mahendro dānavān iva ||
ในศึก เขาจักบรรลุสิ่งที่ท่านปรารถนาอย่างแน่นอน—ไร้ข้อสงสัย เขาเชี่ยวชาญศัสตราวุธ แม้ผู้รู้ศัสตราใหญ่ก็ยากจะต้านทาน อาวุธมั่นคง และยิงโจมตีเป้าหมายไกลได้ดุจใจหมาย ดังมหาอินทร์ (มเหนทร) เคยปราบเหล่าทานวะฉันใด เขาก็จักทำลายกองทัพของพวกนั้นฉันนั้น
