Shloka 39

भीष्मस्य सेनापत्यप्रतिज्ञा तथा रथसंख्यावर्णनम् | Bhishma Accepts Command and Enumerates Kaurava Strength

सहदेवो<पि नृपते इदमाह वचोड<र्थवत्‌ | सुयोधन मतिर्या ते वृथैषा ते भविष्यति,राजन! तदनन्तर सहदेवने भी यह सार्थक वचन कहा--“महाराज दुर्योधन! आज जो तेरी बुद्धि है, वह व्यर्थ हो जायगी। इस समय हमारे इस महान्‌ क्लेशका जो तू हर्षोत्फुल्ल होकर वर्णन कर रहा है, इसका फल यह होगा कि तू अपने पुत्र, कुटुम्बी तथा बन्धुजनोंसहित शोकमें डूब जायगा'
