धृतराष्ट्रस्य वंशोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Dynastic Counsel on Legitimate Rule
नीचै: स्थित्वा तु विदुर उपास्ते सम विनीतवत् । प्रेष्पवत् पुरुषव्याप्रो वालव्यजनमुत्क्षिपन्,“तदनन्तर पुरुषसिंह विदुर सेवककी भाँति नीचे खड़े होकर चँवर डुलाते हुए विनीतभावसे धृतराष्ट्रकी सेवामें रहने लगे
nīcaiḥ sthitvā tu vidura upāste sama-vinītavat | preṣpavat puruṣa-vyāghro vāla-vyajanam utkṣipan ||
แล้ววิทุระยืนต่ำลงด้วยความนอบน้อม ดุจมหาดเล็กผู้ได้รับการฝึกฝน รับใช้ธฤตราษฏระด้วยใจเป็นกลางและกิริยาสุภาพ เขาเป็นดั่งราชสีห์ท่ามกลางมนุษย์ ยกพัดหางจามรีขึ้นโบก—เลือกวินัยและการข่มตนเหนือความทะนงตน แสดงธรรมแห่งหน้าที่โดยไร้อัตตาในราชสำนักอันตึงเครียด
