ब्राह्मणान् प्रथमं द्वेष्टि गुरूंश्व मधुसूदन । भृत्यान् भक्तिमतश्चापि तत् पराभवलक्षणम्
sañjaya uvāca |
brāhmaṇān prathamaṃ dveṣṭi gurūṃś ca madhusūdana |
bhṛtyān bhaktimataś cāpi tat parābhavalakṣaṇam ||
สัญชัยกล่าวว่า “โอ้ มธุสูทนะ! ทุรโยธนะเริ่มด้วยความชิงชังต่อพราหมณ์ทั้งหลาย; ต่อมาดูหมิ่นครูบาอาจารย์และผู้ใหญ่ และถึงกับทรยศต่อข้ารับใช้ผู้ภักดีของตน—ความประพฤตินั้นเป็นเครื่องหมายชัดเจนว่าความพินาศและความปราชัยกำลังใกล้เข้ามา”
