नुदेद् वृद्धयसमृद्धी स प्रतिकूले नृपात्मज । राजकुमार! जिसे पहलेसे ही सभी पदार्थोकी अनित्यताका ज्ञान होता है, वह ज्ञानी पुरुष अपने प्रतिकूल शत्रुकी उन्नति और अपनी अवनतिसे प्राप्त हुए दुःखका विचारद्वारा निवारण कर सकता है

โอ เจ้าชาย ผู้มีปัญญาซึ่งรู้แต่เดิมแล้วว่าสรรพสิ่งล้วนไม่เที่ยง ย่อมระงับความโศกที่เกิดจากศัตรูผู้เป็นปฏิปักษ์รุ่งเรืองและตนเองเสื่อมถอยได้ด้วยการใคร่ครวญอันแยบคาย
