Udyoga Parva — Gandhārī’s Counsel to Duryodhana
तदिदं व्यसन घोर त्वया द्यूतमुखं कृतम् असमीक्ष्य सदाचारान् सार्थ पापानुबन्धनै:,“तूने ही सदाचारकी ओर लक्ष्य न रखकर पापासक्त पुरुषोंके सहित भयंकर विपत्तिके कारणभूत ये द्यूतक्रीड़ा आदि कार्य किये हैं
tad idaṃ vyasanaṃ ghoraṃ tvayā dyūtamukhaṃ kṛtam, asamīkṣya sadācārān sārthaṃ pāpānubandhanaiḥ
โดยไม่ใคร่ครวญมาตรฐานแห่งความประพฤติดี และคบหากับผู้ยึดติดในบาป เจ้านั่นเองที่ก่อให้เกิดหายนะอันน่าสยดสยองนี้ เริ่มจากการเล่นสกา—การกระทำที่ย่อมนำพาไปสู่บาปและความพินาศต่อเนื่อง
