Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 126 — Kṛṣṇa’s Indictment of Misrule and the Varuṇa Analogy (कृष्णवाक्यं–धर्मपाशदृष्टान्तः)
नच त॑ कृष्ण पश्यामि क्षत्रधर्ममनुछितम् । उत्सहेत युधा जेतुं यो न: शत्रुनिबर्हण
na ca tvaṁ kṛṣṇa paśyāmi kṣatradharmam anucitam | utsaheta yudhā jetuṁ yo naḥ śatrunibarhaṇa ||
โอ้กฤษณะ ผู้ทำลายศัตรู! ข้าไม่เห็นวีรบุรุษผู้ใดที่ยึดมั่นในธรรมของกษัตริย์นักรบอย่างถูกต้อง แล้วจะยังกล้าหาญพอที่จะพิชิตพวกเราทั้งหมดในสนามรบได้
