अभेद्यं भास्करेणापि स्वयं वा कृष्णवर्त्मना । मृत्युके पश्चात् इस दिशामें जानेवाले प्राणीको ऐसे घोर अन्धकारका सामना करना पड़ता है, जो साक्षात् अग्नि एवं सूर्यके लिये भी अभेद्य है
abhedyaṁ bhāskareṇāpi svayaṁ vā kṛṣṇavartmanā | mṛtyuke paścāt asyāṁ diśiṁ jānevāle prāṇīko aise ghora andhakārakā sāmnā karnā paṛtā hai, jo sākṣāt agni evaṁ sūryake liye bhī abhedya hai
ยุปรรณะกล่าวว่า “หลังความตาย ผู้ใดไปตามทิศนี้ย่อมต้องประสบความมืดอันน่าสะพรึง—ทึบแน่นจนแม้ไฟและดวงอาทิตย์ก็ไม่อาจทะลวงได้ ณ ที่นั้น แสงสว่างและเครื่องชี้ทางตามสามัญย่อมไร้ผล”
