Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 5 — Karmaphala-Nirdeśa and Phalāśruti (कर्मफलनिर्देशः फलश्रुतिश्च)
कार्ष्ण॑ वेदमिमं सर्व शृणुयाद् यः समाहित: । ब्रह्महत्यादिपापानां कोटिस्तस्य विनश्यति,जो एकाग्रचित होकर इस सम्पूर्ण “कार्ष्ण वेदैं” का श्रवण करता है उसके ब्रह्महत्या आदि करोड़ों पापोंका नाश हो जाता है
kārṣṇa vedaṃ imaṃ sarvaṃ śṛṇuyād yaḥ samāhitaḥ | brahmahatyādipāpānāṃ koṭis tasya vinaśyati ||
ผู้ใดมีจิตตั้งมั่นเป็นหนึ่งแล้วสดับ ‘การ์ษณะเวท’ นี้โดยครบถ้วน บาปนับโกฏิของผู้นั้น—เริ่มแต่บาปหนักอย่างพราหมณ์ฆาต—ย่อมพินาศสิ้น
