वीरास्थिशर्करा दुर्गा मांसशोणितकर्दमा । असिचर्मप्लवा घोरा केशशैवलशाद्धला

Transliteration

vīrāsthiśarkarā durgā māṃsaśoṇitakardamā | asicarmaplavā ghorā keśaśaivalśāddhalā ||

Translation

อัมพรีษะพรรณนาภาพอันน่าสยดสยองดุจป้อมปราการ: กรวดหินคือกระดูกวีรชน โคลนตมคือเนื้อและโลหิต และสิ่งที่ใช้ข้ามมีเพียงแพจากคมดาบกับหนังสัตว์เท่านั้น ทั้งน่ากลัวและโสโครก อุดตันด้วยสาหร่ายคือเส้นผม และเกลื่อนด้วยก้อนคราบอันไม่บริสุทธิ์—เป็นภาพเพื่อปลุกความรังเกียจทางศีลธรรมต่อความรุนแรงและความพินาศที่มันนำมา
