अरण्यवृत्ति-वैराग्योपदेशः | Forest Discipline and the Program of Non-Attachment

साधुगम्यमहं मार्ग न जातु त्वत्कृते पुनः । गच्छेयं तद्‌ गमिष्यामि हित्वा ग्राम्यसुखान्युत,मैं ग्राम्य सुखोंका परित्याग करके साधु पुरुषोंके चले हुए मार्गपर तो चल सकता हूँ; परंतु तुम्हारे आग्रहके कारण कदापि राज्य नहीं स्वीकार करूँगा

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | sādhugamyam ahaṃ mārgaṃ na jātu tvatkṛte punaḥ | gaccheyaṃ tad gamiṣyāmi hitvā grāmyasukhāny uta ||

ยุธิษฐิระกล่าวว่า “เราสามารถดำเนินตามทางที่สัตบุรุษย่ำไว้ได้โดยแท้ ละทิ้งสุขสบายทางโลก แล้วไปตามที่หนทางนั้นนำไป แต่เพราะเจ้า หรือเพราะคำเร่งรัดของเจ้า เราจะไม่รับราชสมบัติอีกเป็นอันขาด”
