इति राजन् यम: प्राह वर्तते च तथैव तत् । अथ भूयांसमेवार्थ करिष्यामि पुन: पुन:,राजन्! यमराजने जो यह बात कही है, वह ज्यों-की-त्यों ठीक है; फिर भी मैं तो बारंबार आपके महान् अर्थका साधन करूँगा ही
iti rājan yamaḥ prāha vartate ca tathaiva tat | atha bhūyāṁsam evārthaṁ kariṣyāmi punaḥ punaḥ, rājan ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า—ข้าแต่พระราชา ยมได้กล่าวไว้ดังนี้ และความจริงก็เป็นเช่นนั้นโดยแท้ ถึงกระนั้น เพื่อประโยชน์อันยิ่งและความเข้าใจอันแจ่มชัดของพระองค์ ข้าพเจ้าจะกล่าวขยายความเรื่องนี้ซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่า
