अजोडन्निर्वरुणो मेष: सूर्यो5श्वः पृथिवी विराट । धेनुर्यज्ञश्न सोमश्न न विक्रेया: कथंचन
ajoḍan nirvaruṇo meṣaḥ sūryo 'śvaḥ pṛthivī virāṭ | dhenur yajñaśna somaśna na vikreyāḥ kathaṃcana ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “แพะไม่พึงถูกตอน แกะผู้ที่อุทิศแด่วรุณะไม่พึงถูกทำร้าย ม้าของพระอาทิตย์เป็นสิ่งมิอาจประหารได้ แผ่นดินซึ่งเป็นวิราฏผู้ค้ำจุนสรรพสิ่งไม่ควรถูกถือเป็นทรัพย์เพื่อซื้อขาย อีกทั้งโคนม และโคที่ได้ทำพิธีอุทิศเพื่อยัญ—ไม่ว่าจะกำหนดไว้สำหรับเครื่องบูชาหรือสำหรับโสม—ย่อมไม่พึงขายไม่ว่าในกรณีใดๆ”
