इत्येवं सम्प्रवर्तन्ते व्यवहारा: पुरातना: । ऋषीणामितरेषां च साधु चैतदसंशयम्‌,प्राचीन कालसे ऋषियों तथा अन्य सत्पुरुषोंके सारे व्यवहार ऐसे ही चले आ रहे हैं। यह सब ठीक है, इसमें संशय नहीं है

ity evaṁ sampravartante vyavahārāḥ purātanāḥ | ṛṣīṇām itareṣāṁ ca sādhu caitad asaṁśayam ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ด้วยวิธีนี้เอง จารีตและแบบแผนโบราณจึงดำเนินสืบต่อมา ทั้งในหมู่ฤๅษีและในหมู่ผู้อื่นด้วย. ข้อนี้ถูกต้องแท้; ไม่มีข้อสงสัย.”
