राज्ञोऽभिषेकः, अराजकदोषः, दण्डधारणस्य आवश्यकता

ज्ञातिसम्बन्धिमित्राणि व्यापन्नानि युधिष्ठिर । समभ्युद्धरमाणस्य दीक्षाश्रमपर्द भवेत्,युधिष्ठिर! जो संकटमें पड़े हुए अपने सजातियों, सम्बन्धियों और सुहृदोंका उद्धार करता है, उसे वानप्रस्थ-आश्रममें मिलनेवाले पदकी प्राप्ति होती है
jñātisambandhimitrāṇi vyāpannāni yudhiṣṭhira | samabhyuddharamāṇasya dīkṣāśramapadaṁ bhavet ||
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า—โอ ยุธิษฐิระ ผู้ใดมุ่งมั่นช่วยกู้ญาติพี่น้อง วงศ์วาน และมิตรสหายที่ตกอยู่ในห้วงทุกข์ ผู้นั้นย่อมได้บุญและฐานะอันเกี่ยวเนื่องกับอาศรมแห่งวินัย เปรียบดังยศที่ได้ในวานปรस्थอาศรม
