शुश्रूषां सततं कुर्वन्‌ गुरो: सम्प्रणमेत च । षट्कर्मसु निवृत्तश्न न प्रवृत्तश्न सर्वश:

Transliteration

śuśrūṣāṃ satataṃ kurvan guroḥ saṃpraṇameta ca | ṣaṭkarmasu nivṛttaś ca na pravṛttaś ca sarvaśaḥ ||

Translation

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า—“เขาพึงปรนนิบัติครูอยู่เสมอ และพึงนอบน้อมคำนับด้วยความเคารพอันสมควร. พึงเว้นจากกิจหกประการอันมุ่งเลี้ยงชีพ—ทำยัญญะและประกอบยัญญะให้ผู้อื่น ศึกษาและสอน ให้ทานและรับทาน—และไม่พึงเข้าไปข้องเกี่ยวกับอธรรมไม่ว่าประการใด.”
