शोकाकुल-युधिष्ठिरं प्रति कुन्त्याः कालोचितोपदेशः | Kuntī’s Timely Counsel to the Grief-Stricken Yudhiṣṭhira
न चैनमशकदू भानुरहं वा स्नेहकारणै: । पुरा प्रत्यनुनेतुं वा नेतुं वाप्यपेकतां त्वया
na cainam aśakad ū bhānur ahaṃ vā snehakāraṇaiḥ | purā pratyanunetuṃ vā netuṃ vāpy ekatāṃ tvayā ||
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—ทั้งพระภานุ (สุริยเทพ) และข้าพเจ้า แม้ก่อนหน้านั้นก็ไม่อาจชนะใจเขาได้ด้วยคำวิงวอนอาศัยความรักใคร่ และไม่อาจทำให้เกิดความเป็นหนึ่งเดียวกับฝ่ายของท่านได้.
