शोकाकुल-युधिष्ठिरं प्रति कुन्त्याः कालोचितोपदेशः | Kuntī’s Timely Counsel to the Grief-Stricken Yudhiṣṭhira
भवत्या गूढमन्त्रत्वात् पीडितो<स्मीत्युवाच ताम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca — bhavatyā gūḍha-mantratvāt pīḍito ’smīty uvāca tām |
ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า—“เพราะท่านเก็บเรื่องนี้ไว้เป็นความลับ ข้าพเจ้าจึงถูกความทุกข์บีบคั้น,” เขากล่าวกับมารดา ครั้นได้ฟังดังนั้น ธรรมราชยุธิษฐิระมีดวงตาเอ่อด้วยน้ำตา ความโศกทำให้ประสาทสัมผัสสั่นคลอน แล้วพระองค์ตรัสอีกว่า—“แม่เอ๋ย ด้วยการปกปิดสัจจะอันเป็นความลับนี้ไว้ ท่านได้ทำให้ข้าพเจ้าทุกข์หนักยิ่ง.”
