Bhīṣma on the Śara-Śayyā: Yudhiṣṭhira and Kṛṣṇa Approach the Eldest for Śānti

अहं च त्वाभिजानामि यस्त्वं पुरुषसत्तम । त्रिदशेष्वपि विख्यातस्त्वं शक्‍्त्या पुरुषोत्तम:,पुरुषप्रवर! आप कैसे हैं और क्या हैं, यह मैं जानता हूँ। आप पुरुषोंमें उत्तम और अपनी शक्तिके लिये देवताओं में भी विख्यात हैं

ahaṃ ca tvābhijānāmi yastvaṃ puruṣasattama | tridaśeṣv api vikhyātas tvaṃ śaktyā puruṣottamaḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “เราก็รู้เช่นกันว่าท่านเป็นผู้ใด โอ้ผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่มนุษย์ แม้ในหมู่เทพทั้งหลาย ท่านก็เลื่องลือด้วยเดชานุภาพ โอ้บุรุษผู้สูงสุด”
