Paraśurāma’s origins and the depletion/restoration of kṣatriya lineages
वायुदेव उवाच ततः पृथिव्या निर्दिषप्टांस्तानू समानीय कश्यप: । अभ्यषिज्चन्महीपालान _ क्षत्रियान् वीर्यसम्मतान्,श्रीकृष्ण कहते हैं--राजन्! तदनन्तर पृथ्वीके बताये हुए उन सब पराक्रमी क्षत्रिय भूपालोंको बुलाकर कश्यपजीने उनका भिन्न-भिन्न राज्योंपर अभिषेक कर दिया
vāyudeva uvāca tataḥ pṛthivyā nirdiṣṭān tān samānīya kaśyapaḥ | abhyasiñcan mahīpālān kṣatriyān vīryasammatān ||
วายุเทพกล่าวว่า “ต่อจากนั้น กัศยปะได้เรียกบรรดากษัตริย์นักรบผู้กล้าหาญซึ่งแผ่นดินชี้บอกมา แล้วประกอบพิธีอภิเษกสถาปนาให้แต่ละองค์ครองแคว้นของตน”
वायुदेव उवाच
Political authority is to be grounded in dharma and legitimate sanction: kingship is restored through proper consecration of worthy Kṣatriyas, emphasizing protection of the earth and orderly governance over arbitrary power.
After the Earth identifies certain valiant Kṣatriya rulers, the sage Kaśyapa summons them and performs their abhiṣeka, installing them as kings over different territories to re-establish stable rule.
