दानपात्रापात्र-निर्णयः / Determining Worthy Gifts, Recipients, and Permissible Food

मार्कण्डेयमुखात्‌ कृत्स्नं यतिधर्ममवाप्तवान्‌ । रामादस्त्राणि शक्राच्च प्राप्तवान्‌ पुरुषर्षभ:,'पुरुषप्रवर भीष्मने मार्कण्डेयजीके मुखसे सम्पूर्ण यतिधर्मका ज्ञान प्राप्त किया है और परशुराम तथा इन्द्रसे अस्त्र-शस्त्रोंकी शिक्षा पायी है

mārkaṇḍeyamukhāt kṛtsnaṃ yatidharmaṃ avāptavān | rāmāt astrāṇi śakrācca prāptavān puruṣarṣabhaḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า— ภีษมผู้ประเสริฐในหมู่บุรุษ ได้รับรู้ธรรมวัตรของยติทั้งสิ้นจากโอษฐ์ของมารกัณฑेय และยังได้เรียนวิชาอาวุธจากรามะ (ปรศุราม) และจากศักระ (อินทร) ด้วย
